ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT WITH FRENCH FOR AN INTERNATIONAL COMPANY  [30/07/2010]  


"Astrea" Consult is currently seeking for a leading business process outsourcing company
based in the United States, specializing in finance and accounting services .

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ACTIVITIES:

Vendor master-file maintenance – including adds/edits/delete;
Reconciliation of Supplier Statements;
Receive vendor calls – resolve as required;
Enter approved invoices; attempt 3-way match;
Place invoices on hold that do not meet client matching/approval criteria;
Exception tracking and resolution based on reports generated – perform; follow up for invoices
on hold – work to resolve within a few business days or escalate to client if required;
Work with vendors, buyers, others to resolve exceptions via email;
Remove invoice holds as authorized by client policy;
Expense report processing – audit, entry;
Disbursement processing - create payment proposals.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ACTIVITIES:

Apply cash receipts to specific invoices as identified on customer remittances;
Process cash receipts the same day they are received;
Post discounts and adjustments as per policy;
Create credit memos to unapplied cash for unidentified items;
Place cash receipts in customer holding account that do not match customer remittances ;
Customer masterfile maintenance – including add/edits/deletes;
Perform pro-active follow up with slow-pay customers;
Perform pro-active follow-up with customers on exception resolution items;
Reconcile credit payments received.

PAYROLL & HR ADMIN ACTIVITES:

Employee time capture preparation;
Prepare input for payroll runs;
Joiners and Leavers reporting to 3rd party payroll from HR;
Distribute payments and notifications to employees .

Requirements:

*Diploma/Bachelor degree in Accounting (or related);
* Minimum 1 years of work experience in similar position ( Accountant);
* Excellent knowledge of French and English;
* Flexible and responsible, capable to independently manage his/her work;
* Quick learner with managerial and responsible attitude towards an objective oriented company.
